Richard Eierstedt - 1954 - 2010
The staff and members of Ride On Eternal mourns the loss of another one of
Motocross' greats, Richard Eierstedt. Rich raced for Team Honda in the 1970's and
later became a test rider for Motocross Action Magazine...After surfing the web, I
decided this link pretty much says it all....because it say it in Rich's own words. If you

Harry Raymond Exner IV - May 11th, 1991 - December 7th, 2010
Harry Raymond Exner, 19, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, in Denver, Colo.
The following was written by Harry's friend, Tony Schimmel
Harry Exner, the son of Bob and Renae, Brother Cole and Jake. Harry was a good
friend to many people. He was a rider and racer. It comes to no surprise that many of
these relationships stemmed from inside the racing community. After all, a large part
of his short life was spent on and around the tracks and hills in the upper Midwest.
He shared the same passion that riders and racers everywhere do. It’s the same
group of people that look at riding not as a hobby or special interest, but as a
necessity. The urges to get involved with things like basketball, football, or golf always
takes the back seat to riding.
A rider will turn his head as he passes a golf course not to think of making an Eagle or
Birdie on a difficult hole that happens to be in sight. No, we gaze at the freshly
watered lush green course, remembering the new Dunlop tire we just spooned on the
night before and imagine how we would shred that nice loamy fairway.
I know Harry was this type of person. Like many of us, when we were younger
traveling in the family sedan staring quietly out the window scanning the horizon and
carefully selecting a certain field approach or hilly terrain that you know would make
the perfect jump.

Or at times you would be sitting in school on a warm spring day in English or History class that would be just
too much to take. You could always find a brief escape by sketching a Moto-bike or drafting the perfect track
layout on the cover of your text book.
If you’re a rider you’ve more than likely experienced some or all of these things.
If you knew Harry he was more a rider and more. He was a very skilled and determined racer, but humble of
his accomplishments. He was the one that always took the time to visit, weather it was to share a laugh or
quickly wish a good luck to a familiar face at the starting gate. He was very outgoing and never arrogant and
over the top.
To say we’ll miss the #491 bike in the pits would be an understatement. Not seeing that smile that found its
place on his face so easily and often will sadden us. Try to remember all the good times and then go out and
throw down some fast laps for Harry. That’s what he would have wanted.
- Some things I’d like to say, but first of all to let you know that I arrived okay. I’m writing this from Heaven where I dwell
with God above where there are no more tears or sadness, there is eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I’
m out of sight. Remember that I’m with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on
Earth was through God picked me up and hugged me and said…..I welcome you!
